Birding Ethiopia

I had long ago decided that bird watching will be my career.  So I had taken the necessary steps in the academics to attain the necessary theoretical and practical requirements to professionalize my hobby. I established communication with professionals; researchers, geographers, tourists etc.. around the world and people began to be interested in visiting Ethiopia for birding.   I started to arrange birding tours, one thing always leading to another.

After five years of experience as a freelance bird watching tour guide for several tour agencies in Ethiopia, as well as personal birding trips throughout Ethiopia and Kenya, where I studied and obtained my academic credentials in Tour Management, eventually, I am in the process of formalizing my efforts by establishing an actual company.

 I am proud to be among the few professionals in the tourism industry providing nature related tour, specially bird watching.

Since its inception, my network in the bird watching is growing dramatically.  We now offer regular set departure birding tours throughout Ethiopia and share our experience and knowledge to the world. We get e-mails from birders asking how they can organize their birding trip, who is the best birding tour company, and whom to take as their birding guide. I think this are the questions all bird watchers who wish to come to Ethiopia would like to know.

This is the whole idea why i decided to build my own web site.

The future prospective are a lot! we do plan to publish regular teaching materials, informative multimedia products and awareness campaigns to conserve nature and wildlife in general.
